While the Blue Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad is dedicated to professionalism and quality in its care, the squad also offers opportunities for social engagement. The squad hosts both a Memorial Day cookout at the station for squad members and their families and a Christmas banquet at an offsite location. All squad members are also invited to attend the annual Volunteer Appreciation event hosted by Botetourt County Emergency Services. Additionally, it is common for squad members to get together informally for summer gatherings, softball games in the park, or dinners. The Blue Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad is an excellent avenue to meet new people and build friendships while truly helping your community in a meaningful way. Please consider learning more about joining our organization by clicking the Volunteer tab on the menu above.
Photos of squad functions will be posted here starting in 2010.
